1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions govern your subscription agreement with Radhiant Diagnostic Imaging South Africa (RDISA). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Subscription Duration and Cancellation
· All subscriptions require a minimum 12-month commitment.
· If you cancel your subscription before having your annual mammogram performed, you may request a refund minus applicable administrative charges.
· If you cancel your subscription after receiving your annual mammogram, you will be immediately liable for payment of the full remaining annual subscription balance.
3. Payment Methods and Missed Payments
· Payments can be made through PayFast, which includes multiple options such as credit/debit cards, EFT, and debit orders.
· If you miss a payment and have not yet had your mammogram, you will receive a one-month grace period with payment reminders. Continued non-payment will result in suspension of your subscription until payment arrears are cleared.
· If you miss a payment after having received your mammogram, you will receive a one-month grace period to rectify the missed payment. If the payment is not made within this period, the full remaining annual subscription amount becomes immediately due and payable and may be handed over to debt collectors for recovery.
4. Service Availability and Scheduling
· For the “Basic” and “Family” plans, subscribers are eligible to have a mammogram done once ID and proof of address have been submitted to us either via WhatsApp, SMS or email and once at least 4 payments have been made i.e. in the fifth month of the subscription.
· For the “Premium” and “Sponsor a Sister” plans the above applies in terms of ID and address and subscribers are eligible for their mammogram after the 3rd payment i.e. in the 4th month.
· Business plans will have specific terms and conditions, and a service agreement provided.
· For the month of July 2025 the above waiting periods will be waived, except for the ID and proof of address requirements.
· Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing subscribers who have booked appointments in advance.
· Subscribers receive scheduling priority based on their subscription start date.
· In remote locations, mammograms will be scheduled once a minimum of 10 subscribers per location is reached. If RDISA is unable to provide a screening within five months due to location remoteness, we will arrange and cover the travel expenses for subscribers to receive their mammogram at a designated RDISA facility.
5. Medical and Liability Disclaimer
· The subscription covers annual screening mammograms only. This service does not necessarily guarantee the detection of all causes of symptoms (including but not limited to pain, “lumps” felt, nipple discharge, etc.) other breast abnormalities or all types of cancers and consultation with your doctor is advised after your mammogram is performed for further advice and/ or treatment.
· Screening mammograms have known sensitivity and specificity limits. Internationally recognized screening programs (e.g., Denmark’s breast cancer screening program) report a sensitivity of approximately 85% and a specificity of approximately 95%. Subscribers acknowledge these inherent limitations. RDISA strives to benchmark itself against these international standards.
· RDISA holds itself to highest standards of reporting of mammograms, however, shall not be held liable for medical outcomes, including false negatives or positives, arising from the limitations inherent in mammogram screening procedures.
6. Privacy, Data Handling, and Communications
· RDISA is fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), ensuring the highest standards of patient privacy and data security.
· By subscribing, you explicitly consent to RDISA collecting, processing, and storing your personal and medical data.
· You further consent to receiving your mammogram results and related communications securely via SMS, email or other specified electronic communications.
7. Amendments
· RDISA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions with appropriate notification to subscribers.
8. Governing Law
· These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
